Dorothy Hash is a professor of physical therapy at Southwest Baptist University.
She earned a BSPT from Washington University in 1969, an MA and certificate
as a Clinical Specialist in Neurological Disorders from the University of
Southern California in 1974, and a DPT from the University of Southern
California in 1996. She was certified in the Neurodevelopmental
Approach to Treatment (Bobath) at the Western
Cerebral Palsey
Center in London.
Dr. Hash has over 30 years of clinical and educational experience in
a variety
of settings. In addition to teaching at SBU, she was on
faculty at California
State University
Northridge for ten years. Her clinical experience includes pediatric
and adult rehabilitation centers, acute care hospitals, out-patient
clinics, and home care. Dr. Hash is currently working part-time in
the clinic. She has been an educator
for the First Steps Program which serves children from birth to
three.
Dr. Hash’s clinical and research interests include education,
neurology, and pediatrics. She has held numerous elected
and appointed positions at local, regional and national levels of
the American Physical Therapy Association and recently was elected as a
Missouri Delegate to APTA House of Delegates. Dr. Hash is a
manuscript reviewer for Pediatric Physical Therapy and has published in
peer reviewed journals.
