Hello, and welcome to my home page at Southwest Baptist University. After nearly five years as User Support Coordinator for Computer Services (starting in 1995), I moved to Instructional Technology as the Technology User Specialist, to assist Bob McGlasson as the Director of Instructional Technology. This department's purpose is to help with the use of technology in the areas of teaching and education at SBU. As of 2003, with Dr. McGlasson as the Vice President of ITS, I am the Assistant Director of Instructional Technology. In Fall 2006, I was promoted to Director of Instructional Technology.
topI was born in a small town in Missouri called Lamar(birthplace of Harry S Truman). A few days later my folks took me home to Stockton, MO where I lived on a small beef cattle farm just a few miles from one of the nicest lakes in the state. I met my wife-to-be during my senior year in high school, and we married after my first year of college at the University of Missouri-Rolla(UMR). Our first child was born before I graduated with my B.S. in Computer Science. After graduation we moved to Bolivar, MO and after our second child was born I went to work at Southwest Baptist University (SBU). In May 2006 I received an M.S. in Education (specialized in Instructional Technology Leadership) from SBU.
topI greatly enjoy technology, especially computers. For hobbies I like reading and listening to music. I also enjoy Bible study to both increase my knowledge and understanding, as well as deepen my relationship with God. And most importantly, I truly enjoy being a husband and father for my family.
