Daniel Mills and Dr. Tompkins went to Cuba August 4 to 8 2004. Primarily we organized our two upcoming mission trips. In addition we were able to carry down a lot of dried powered milk to be distributed by the Baptist Convention.

We also traveled with Mr. Albert Steele from Waco. We had a lot of luggage with all the milk:

Albert stayed in a Casa Particular (Licensed Cuban Home) halfway between our hotel and downtown:

Our first stop was to visit our friend from Samford, Aldeberto's mom in San Francisco de Paula.

On Friday we got to go to to the University of Havana to visit with the Physics Department. We discussed and planned for our first service-mission trip, physics peer teaching. Here is a great shot of Physics colleagues, Dr. Tompkins with the Dean of Physics, Dr. Osvaldo de Melo Pereira, Dr. Ernesto Altshuler and fellow LabVIEW junkie, Dr. Manuel Calvino.
